Manna Ash House was refurbished last summer with brand-new refitted bedrooms – that means you’ll likely be only the second person to stay in that room! Our bespoke student accommodation offers a relaxing, modern space to retreat to after throwing yourself into the hustle and bustle of city life.

Our student rooms come with a comfy double bed and your own private en-suite bathroom. There’s also an abundance of storage and a spacious study area for you university course work. We’ve also got all-inclusive bills, and each flat comes with a shared kitchen (with a free weekly kitchen clean) and shared entertaining space, which is perfect for socialising with your new flatmates. And, while a student’s love of Pot Noodles may be legendary, for those aspiring Gordon Ramsays who want their own space, we have five studio flats with their own kitchens.

Writer Samuel Johnson once famously said: “When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life”, and being so close to the buzz of central London is why you'll love being at Manna Ash House. Our accommodation’s excellent Zone 1 location not only makes it a brilliant choice for students at a number of universities (we have students from UAL, Kings College, SOAS, London Law School, South Bank University and the Royal School of Osteopathy), but it also means you’ll be within easy reach of some of London’s top attractions (and nightlife) on foot!

In particular, Manna Ash House is a short walk from the delights of London’s South Bank, home to some of the city’s top cultural attractions, including the Tate Modern, Hayward Gallery, Royal Festival Hall, Globe Theatre, National Theatre and the London Eye – not to mention an array of restaurants, pop-ups and street performances! Beyond that, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben are a quick walk over the Thames (although be warned that the much-loved clock tower still has some scaffolding on it at the time of writing!).

Being so close to the action will be especially important in 2021 when (fingers crossed) there’ll be a packed schedule of music, sporting and cultural events, as much of the 2020 calendar is set to be rearranged.

Wimbledon, Pride and the SW4 festival will likely be bigger than ever, plus we’re sure every pub in London will be showing the Euros and Olympics…

Manna Ash House is a hop, skip and a jump (a five-minute walk) from London’s Waterloo train station, giving you access to four tube lines: the Jubilee, Northern, Bakerloo and Waterloo & City lines. So, if you want to go shopping on Oxford Street or visit ZSL London Zoo, look no further!

Waterloo not only offers excellent links across London, but is also perfect for day trips out of the city. From here, you can get to Thorpe Park (35min from Waterloo Station to Staines, with a 10min shuttle to the theme park), Hampton Court Palace (50min), Windsor Castle (1hr), and even Stonehenge (1hr30 to Salisbury station). London Bridge station is also only a 10-minute walk from Manna Ash House, giving you an easy route to one of Britain’s favourite seaside resort: Brighton!

Last but not least, while you might not be looking at foreign travel at the moment, once things are back to normal, you might want to take a 20-minute tube to St. Pancras, home of the Eurostar!

With so much to see and do, student life in London will be anything but boring. Even on your doorstep, Newington has plenty of student haunts and things to do. The Imperial War Museum is a mere 10-minute wander, while The Young Vic theatre is just around the corner from Manna Ash House. Be sure to check out Flat Iron Square, a quirky outdoor food and entertainment venue under the railway arches.

Newington also has a vibrant history – it’s grown from a small farming village to the location of several famous theatres in the 16th Century, to the vibrant area it is today. Did you know that Newington Gardens is locally known as 'Jail Park', as it used to be Surrey County Gaol?
