Experience
We know it can be daunting moving to a new country, but there’s always a member of our on-site team available to help and answer your questions. We know the best way to get to university, where to find the local supermarket, how to use the laundry machines and more. Never be scared to ask questions!
Expertise
At Sanctuary Students, your safety is our priority. We have 24-hour security staff, CCTV cameras around the site, emergency helplines and secure entry. You’ll also receive round-the-clock support from our maintenance teams to help resolve any building-related issues.
Events
Making friends is one of the most fun parts of coming to university, especially when it’s in a new country! You have so many opportunities to meet new people, but we know it can also be a daunting experience. That’s why, in lots of our halls, we provide a range of regular social activities to create a sense of community, help you to settle in and bond with your new flatmates and neighbours.
Essentials
In our properties we offer all-inclusive bills, free contents insurance and broadband, making it easier to manage your money. Paying your rent is quick and convenient, as you can use a Recurring Card Payment (RCP) or your debit or credit card. If you’d like to stay in the UK over the summer, our longer tenancies are perfect.
Making
payments
International students who live in the North West, Midlands or certain London properties (Don Gratton House, Manna Ash House or Coopers Court) and are unable to provide a UK-based guarantor will be required to pay their annual rent prior to moving in.
How will you pay? International students can pay for rent and other charges in their local currency via the Convera payment portal. To find out more and to use this service, visit our Ways to pay page.
If you’re searching for expert advice on visas, health care, banking and more, visit UKCISA.
Sanctuary Students welcomes new international students from hundreds of different countries every year, and we look forward to helping make your stay in the UK as memorable as possible.
