Ormskirk is a modest town in Lancashire and is home to Edge Hill University and West Lancashire College.

Edge Hill University has three main faculties: Arts and Sciences, Education, and Health and Social Care. Each provides high standards of teaching in a range of relevant subjects.

The university has a strong reputation for teacher training, as well as generalist subjects.

West Lancashire College is part of Newcastle College and offers a range of NVQs, apprenticeships and access to higher learning courses. The campus is located just outside the town centre.

As it’s just 15 miles from Liverpool, you also have access to the many universities and colleges in the city, including the University of Liverpool, John Moores University, Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and Hope University.
