You are required to make a £1 advanced rent prepayment at the time of accepting your offer. The advanced rent prepayment is credited towards the first instalment of your rent.

Instalments
You can pay your rent in various instalments. The dates of your instalments are detailed in your accepted contract.

We have a limited number of accessible studios and en-suite bedrooms available. Contact us to find out more.

*The 42 week contract applies to LJMU referred first year students only.

We have a variety of tenancy lengths available and you can pay in 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, or 11 instalments depending on your chosen contract length. The option for 4 and 11 instalments is only available on 50 week contracts.

Our flexible cancellation option allows you to cancel up to and including 45 days before the start of your tenancy.

Double En-Suite

Treat yourself to a little luxury with a double bed, en-suite bathroom and private study space.

Large Double En-Suite

Perfect if you need a little more space, these rooms are fully furnished with a double bed, an en-suite bathroom, study area and extra floor space.

Studio

Studio flats are self-contained offering extra privacy with your own study space, en-suite bathroom and kitchen/lounge area.

Large Studio

Offering your own private study area, bathroom and kitchen/lounge facilities with a little extra space.

Building-wide Wi-Fi and Ethernet broadband service are included in your rent and offers you a reliable and secure internet connection suitable for all your academic and personal needs, including browsing the internet, sending emails, downloading and streaming.

The broadband service is provided by Glide, a leading provider of managed internet services to student accommodation.

The internet package provided with your accommodation includes a super-fast symmetrical 250MBs Ethernet broadband service. A further 10mbs building wide Wi-Fi service is also included. You can connect up to seven devices at the same time.

Features of the Wi-Fi service include: Pervasive coverage for seamless roaming, support for multiple concurrent devices (mobiles, tablets, laptops, game consoles etc.), fast and reliable connection for an uninterrupted service, support for Eduroam and multiple SSIDs and, differentiated services dependent upon user profile.

We want to ensure moving in day goes as smoothly and hassle free as possible without any delays. To help us with this, please remember to upload the following information to us before moving day:

Checking in

On move-in day, come and find us at reception at the front of the building. Ensure you bring your driving license, passport or other photographic ID. If somebody other than yourself will collect your keys, we’ll need confirmation of this in writing.

Out of Hours

Our office hours on move in day are 10am to 4pm, outside of these hours our security team are available. If you will be arriving out of hours please email us at grenvillestreet@sanctuary-students.com to let us know in advance or if you are running late on the day, call us on 07436 530 954. Keys are safely locked away overnight, without prior notice, keys will not be available outside of office hours.

Parking and luggage

There is an underground car park below our student accommodation. You can park here for £6.00 (all day parking) and use it to unload your luggage.

We hope you are as excited as we are about your stay with us and won’t need to cancel your room… But we know unexpected things can happen from time to time.

So, if you do need to cancel your contract:

Up to and including 45 days before the start of your tenancy
You can cancel at any time during this period, but there will be a reasonable administration charge.

Within 45 days of your contract start date
During the last 45 days before the start of your tenancy – you will only be able to cancel the contract if a suitable replacement tenant is found to take your place. Either you can find a suitable replacement tenant yourself, or we can find one for you. However, if it is left to us, we will only do this after all our other rooms have been let. In either case, there will be a reasonable administration charge.

Note: If no replacement tenant is found, you will be responsible for payment of the rent in full, even if you do not move into the property.

Cancellations/Refunds
Let us know as soon as possible if you decide to cancel the contract. Any cancellations will need to be made to your on-site team in writing. If you are entitled to a refund, these are normally processed within 14 working days.

Rebookers
If you have any outstanding fees from a previous stay with us, we may withdraw an offer of accommodation or cancel a contract.

Tenancy Agreement

The Sample Tenancy Agreement details the terms and conditions of your contract with us. 

TV licence

If you are bringing a TV to watch live TV, or if you receive or record live TV programmes on any other device, such as a laptop, you will need a TV Licence. You won’t be covered by your parents’ licence.

Our TV licences only cover the TVs that we provide, for example in common rooms and lounge areas.

For more information and to buy your licence, visit the TV Licensing website. There are a variety of payment plans available.

The TV licensing authorities recognise that most students do not need the final three months of a TV licence as you leave the accommodation during the summer. You may be able to receive a refund for this period, provided that you don’t need your licence again before it expires.

If you do not have a TV Licence but you receive or record live TV you could face prosecution from the TV Licensing Authority.

Laundry

Grenville Street now benefits from LaundryView which will make doing your laundry on-site even easier. The system, created by Circuit, allows you to go online and check the availability of washers and dryers in your building as well as see when other washes are about to end. 

To get started with LaundryView, you first need to find your halls.

Circuit also offer laundry top-up cards which allow you to pay for your washing and drying in advance by paying online or using one of the on-site machines. You can then use your card to pay for washing and drying as well as top-up your card straight from your mobile phone using the Circuit app.

Do you provide insurance?

At Sanctuary Students we offer specialist insurance cover for all of our students through Cover4Students.com.

All of our accommodation is covered as Basic Cover.

Basic Cover Explained

Your possessions, desktop and laptop computer equipment are insured for theft, fire, flood, burst pipes, storm, vandalism, explosion and lightning. Cover applies within your accommodation, in any temporary residence and in transit at the beginning and end of each term.
