To help ease your transition to living in a new country, we offer all-inclusive bills (including electricity, water and heating), free contents insurance and Wi-Fi, making it easier to manage your money. Paying your rent is quick and convenient, as you can use a Recurring Card Payment (RCP) or your debit or credit card. All of our halls and flats are ideally located for studying and for experiencing all that the local area has to offer – we have a range of accommodation to suit all tastes. All of our rooms are single occupancy and many of our properties offer studios with your own kitchen and bathroom. We also offer a large number of en-suite bedrooms, and many of our properties offer state-of-the-art shared kitchen and living areas, as well as common rooms where you can meet up with friends and relax in your free time.
We recognise the unique challenges faced by international students, and our friendly teams are on hand to help with any issues you may have. We pride ourselves on offering more than just a room, and our locations have an on-site team, 24 hours a day, to make sure everyone in our student community is happy, healthy and safe.
We have a wealth of knowledge about the local areas, and will tell you everything you need to know, from using the laundry to the best way to get to university. We’ll also offer advice about local public transport and where to find the nearest supermarket – as well as the best takeaways!

We have 24-hour security staff and emergency helplines, secure entry and CCTV. You’ll also receive round-the-clock support from our maintenance teams to make sure everything runs smoothly.
We understand that moving away from home can be daunting, and any feelings of anxiety have been exacerbated by the current pandemic. We’re doing everything we can to help and reassure our students during this time. Our accommodation has dedicated cleaners, plus sanitising stations and protective screens throughout the properties to help keep staff and students safe. Not only that – we offer additional support for anyone who is self-isolating – for example, bringing your food deliveries directly to your door via a contactless drop-off.
Studying abroad gives you the opportunity to meet new people and make life-long connections. But we understand that meeting people for the first time can be a daunting experience, especially if you’re moving to a new country!
Most universities will have societies and events to help you meet like-minded people (even if that means ‘meeting’ virtually, at the moment!), but at Sanctuary Students, we also hold regular social activities to create a sense of community with your flatmates and neighbours, helping you settle in quickly. These events don’t end after Freshers’ Week – we hold regular social activities and cultural events throughout the year.
