Bradford is a scenic city at the foot of the Pennines and has a long, illustrious history. There’s a lot to see and do in the city and it’s well known for its diversity.
The city itself is a modest size with a population of around half a million people. It’s nice to walk around, picturesque thanks to old industrial buildings, has lots of historic architecture and has good shopping too.
Highlights of Bradford include Five Rise Locks, Little Germany, Saltaire, St Ives, Bronte Country, National Media Museum, Colour Museum, Peace Museum, Bolling Hall Museum, Alhambra Theatre, Bradford University's Theatre in The Mill, the Priestley Centre and St George's Hall.
Bradford is also known for live music and eating out. The diversity of the city means every cuisine from every continent is catered for, especially Pakistani, Indian, Bengali and other cuisines of the region. The city isn’t known as the Curry Capital of Britain for nothing!
Bradford has a central location in West Yorkshire and is well connected to the rest of the country.
