Birkbeck, University of London is within University of London, next to University College London, The British Museum, Euston Station and other amenities.

The university is highly regarded for some of its subjects. Most notably psychology, English language, literature, philosophy and supporting subjects.

It does offer plenty of other subjects, across 19 different departments including English, creative writing, theatre, culture and languages, art, film, media and cultural studies, computer science, economics, statistics, mathematics, management, law, criminology, biological sciences and many more.

There are around 11,500 students divided between undergraduates and postgraduates at the campus between Malet Street and Woburn Square in Bloomsbury. There are also smaller satellite campuses and teaching centres around the area.

As Britain’s capital, transport links into and out of London are plentiful.

London has access to multiple airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, London City, Stansted and Luton. All are linked to the city via road, rail and coach.

London has multiple railway stations that cover the entire United Kingdom and Europe. Stations include London Liverpool Street, St Pancras International, King's Cross St Pancras, Waterloo, Paddington and many others.

The London Underground (tube) covers the entire city of London with several lines criss-crossing the city including Russell Square, Warren Street, Tottenham Court Road and London Euston Station, which are all just minutes from your student accommodation.

London also has lots of road links but driving in the city can be a challenge. There is also the London Congestion Charge to consider as well as parking!
