About Manchester City Centre

Manchester is a large, vibrant city with a distinct character and the potential to offer an unrivalled student experience.

With a bustling city centre, lively nightlife and sports scene, plenty of public transport options, schools, colleges, universities, galleries, museums and more, there are all the ingredients here for an amazing time as a student.

Manchester has been settled since before Roman times, so it has evolved over time into a sprawling, diverse and culturally interesting city.

Recent investment has meant much of the city has undergone renovation and renewal. There’s still a lot of history here, but there’s also a lot that’s new, like The Printworks and the Corn Exchange, for example.

Despite its size, the modern city is friendly and caters to every conceivable taste, interest or lifestyle.

Liverpool has one of the best nightlife scenes in the country. Bars, pubs, bistros, clubs and more are all across the city, many within walking distance of our Liverpool city centre student accommodation. As the birthplace of The Beatles, Liverpool is naturally home to a host of buzzing music venues.

With four universities and several colleges, plus lots of culture, arts, music and more, you’ve chosen an amazing place to study!

Transport in Manchester

Manchester is a transport hub of the north of England, so has plenty of transport links locally and nationally. All make it easy to get to your Manchester city centre student accommodation.

Manchester airport is the third busiest in the country and handles flights to most popular destinations. It’s linked to the city centre by road and rail.

Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Victoria railway stations serve most of the city’s rail links. They handle local and national lines across the north and the country as a whole.

The Metrolink tram has eight lines and 99 stations across the city centre and makes getting around easy. There are tram and bus lines close to our two buildings, so it’s very easy to travel anywhere!

Buses are also plentiful. In fact, Manchester has more buses than anywhere outside London, and some even run 24/7. Fares are reasonable and buses cover most areas of the city.

The city is close to many major roads, such as the M60, M602, M67, A6, A56, A57 and local routes throughout Greater Manchester.
