About Liverpool Hope University

Liverpool Hope University is one of a few well-known institutions in the city. There’s also the University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.

Liverpool Hope University used to be three individual training colleges: Saint Katharine's College, Notre Dame College and Christ's College. It became Liverpool Hope University in 2005.

The university has two main campuses: Hope Park in Childwall and The Creative Campus in Everton. Both provide relaxed, conducive surroundings for learning and development and are just a short drive or bus ride from the city centre.

The university won a gold award Office for Students in its Teaching Excellence Framework in 2017 and works hard to deliver high-quality education across a wide range of subjects.

Liverpool is an amazing city to be a student. It’s a young, vibrant city with a long history and a lot of character.

Most of the action is in the city centre, which is convenient for our Liverpool Hope University accommodation and a short distance from class.

As Liverpool is a port city, locals are used to people coming and going, different cultures and ways of living, and seem completely accepting of it. There’s a great vibe here and there’s always something to see and do.

Liverpool is home to Liverpool ONE, Albert Dock, Pier Head, Chinatown, Otterspool Park, Sefton Park, Everton, Anfield, Museum of Liverpool, The Beatle Story, Liverpool Central Library, British Music Experience, World Museum, Matthew Street and a whole lot more.

Sanctuary Students’ Liverpool Hope accommodation is made up of four buildings across the city centre. Each is well maintained and finished to a high standard and includes secure entry, CCTV, social spaces and your accommodation.

Most Liverpool Hope accommodation is en-suite and will include all furniture and most things you’ll need. All bills are inclusive too, so that’s one less thing to worry about.

Transport in Liverpool

Liverpool has a good public transport system. However you arrive and however you plan to get around, options are certainly not something you’re short of here.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Manchester Airport fly to destinations across the world and service airlines such as Easyjet and Ryanair.

Liverpool Lime Street train station is a mainline station with intercity services to major cities around the UK. It’s an impressive building with frequent services to London, Leeds, Manchester and other major transport hubs.

You can even arrive in Liverpool by ship! The port handles cruise liners from across the globe and regular ferries from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Liverpool has excellent motorway links with the M62, M57 and M58 serving city traffic and connecting it with the rest of the country.

Buses are also plentiful with local buses run by Stagecoach Merseyside or Arriva North West. National Express and Megabus both offer services within the city and to other areas.
