Birkbeck University of London

Birkbeck University of London is located in Bloomsbury and was originally established back in 1823. It’s a well-respected university that tends to rank well and is known for its Birkbeck Institute for the humanities, science, research, history, psychology, computer science and physics.

City, University of London

City, University of London is located in the heart of the capital and was originally founded in 1894 as the Northampton Institute. The modern university is known for the City Law School, the School of Community & Health Sciences and related fields.

Imperial College London

London School of Economics (LSE)

Queen Mary University

Our Bloomsbury student houses are centrally located and within walking distance of many of the area highlights or a short bus ride or Tube from some of the most famous landmarks in the world.

This is a relatively safe place to live, with few of the social issues of suburban areas. There is a wide cultural mix and the people are very friendly. There are also thousands of students from across the world studying at one of the large numbers of leading colleges and universities within easy reach of the area.

Transport in London

Talking of transport, London is a transport hub for the whole of the United Kingdom. Our King’s Cross student housing is just across from King’s Cross rail and tube station.

It is served by six international airports, including Heathrow, Gatwick, City Airport, Southend Airport, Luton Airport and Stansted Airport. Each is outside the city (except for City Airport) and is easily accessed by road and rail.

London also has several famous railway stations including, King’s Cross, St Pancras, St Pancras International (Eurostar), Euston, Liverpool Street, Waterloo and Paddington.

The tube has several lines and hundreds of stations across the city, many of which run 24/7. It is the most convenient way to get around London.

Arriving by road will likely see you using the M25, M1, M11, A12, M2, M3 or M4, as well as the many access roads across the city.
